Loving Kindness Unit 4 B;log

I found this experience to be beneficial. First, by thinking about a person that I love  and focusing on those feelings visualizing love and kindness I was then able to feel love and kindness both spreading within me and spreading out of me.
A mental workout is the daily practice where we gain greater access into our minds through contemplative thought. Research has shown that these mental workouts can diminish negative emotions and heighten positive emotions and that we can achieve a greater resistance to mental stress and physical disease.

To begin simply make time to add these mental workouts to our schedules by carving out  short times and gradually expanding that time as we become more comfortable in contemplative thinking.

Reflections on unit 3 relaxation exercise

Namaste,

Focusing inward gives us a new perspective of ourselves and the world around us.I would rate my physical well being at a five. While I am in fairly good overall health I would like to become healthier. My spiritual well being is at a 7 I am comfortable with my belief and my place in the universe but I strive for more connectivity. I would rate my psychological well-being at a 6 I still have some stress to work through but each day I feel less stressful and more whole.
Goals I have set for myself include working towards better physical health. I am also developing skills to allow for better mental health and spirituality.
To achieve these goals, I will continue to eat a healthy organic diet. I will allot time in my day to exercise my body. I will continue to strive for better communication and more effective handling of anger by re-framing my anger to be more constructive.
The relaxation exercise allowed me to visualize the seven areas of my body and to make me feel relaxed and at peace with the world.

Reflection on The Journey on relaxation,

Hello everyone, I have just finished my first journey on relaxation and I am astounded that I have had so much power within me that has been unused. Focusing on moving the blood from the center of my body into my arms and hands resulted in my arms feeling very heavy and warm. If we are able to achieve a result like this in one short exercise imagine the potential of our health and wellness as we  transform ourselves.

Namaste and welcome

Namaste,

I just wanted to welcome you all to my blog. As a child, some of my best conversations were sitting on my stoop in Brooklyn with my cousins, my friends and my neighbors. Today, our world is a little different and people don't always have the time to sit and chat with their neighbors. I wanted to create a blog where you can have that feeling of just hanging out on Susan's stoop. Just a friendly place to stop and chat, a place where friends meet and strangers can be welcomed as new friends. So feel free to come on over and hang out on my stoop!

Looking forward to blogging with you,
Susan
